The Work of the Choir

Founded in 1994 and often called the “Jewel of Southern Utah,” the Southern Utah Heritage Choir is a community of volunteer singers dedicated to bearing testimony of Jesus Christ and uplifting audiences through sacred, patriotic, and inspirational music.

From local firesides and community events to concerts across the nation and abroad, the choir seeks to share messages of faith, hope, gratitude, and devotion through choral music.

What We Do

  • Present annual spring, fall, patriotic, and Christmas concerts in Southern Utah.
  • Offer firesides and devotionals that focus on worship, testimony, and Christ-centered messages.
  • Participate in community and civic events, sharing music that honors God, family, and country.
  • Tour nationally and internationally, representing Southern Utah and the restored gospel of Jesus Christ through music.

Tours & Outreach

The choir has sung across the United States and throughout the world, including memorable performances in Europe, the British Isles, Mexico, Asia, and Italy. Highlights include concerts on the Rome Italy Temple grounds and in sacred spaces such as St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican, along with many churches and historic venues.

Investing in the Next Generation

To encourage and support rising musicians, the Southern Utah Heritage Choir sponsors a vocal scholarship program. This program assists talented students who are pursuing music education and seeking to develop their gifts for future service and performance.

A Volunteer Choir

All members of the choir are volunteers who give generously of their time, means, and talents. Members cover their own expenses, attend regular rehearsals, and serve on committees that help organize concerts, tours, and outreach efforts. Their service reflects a shared desire to bless others through music.

Our Music

The choir performs a broad repertoire of tender, powerful, and inspiring music—sacred hymns, anthems, patriotic selections, and beloved classics. Each concert is prepared with the hope that those who listen will feel the Spirit, find comfort, and leave strengthened in faith.
